The Timex Iron Man Watch keeps time like a normal watch, but is also intended to help athletes train for marathons with its handy time measurement tools, such as the timer and chronograph. Once you set up your watch and start to wear it, you might have questions about operate its features so you can start getting in shape. Instructions
Time and Date Settings
1. Push the "Set" button, which is located on the right edge of the watch toward the bottom. Hold down the button until you see the "Seconds" field start flashing.
2. Push the "Split/Reset" button -- which is the rightmost button located on the front of the watch -- to bring the seconds to "00."
3. Push the "Mode" button located on the left side of the watch to highlight the "Hours" field. Push the "Split/Rest" button to move the hours forward. The hours will toggle between AM and PM.
4. Push "Mode" to highlight the minutes field and push "Split/Reset" to move them forward. Push "Mode" to set the month, date, day, 12-hour or 24-hour display settings. Advance each by pushing the "Split/Reset" button.
5. Push "Set" to save your time and date settings.
Chronograph
6. Push the "Mode" button repeatedly until the word "Chronograph" appears. Push "Start/Stop" -- the leftmost button located on the front of the watch -- to start the chronograph.
7. Push "Split/Reset to fully record a lap. You will see the display pause. Push "Mode" to continue to display the split time and the new lap or wait 10 seconds after pushing "Split/Reset" for the display to resume.
8. Push "Start/Stop" to pause the chronograph, "Start/Stop" to continue and "Start/Stop" to completely stop.
9. Push "Split/Reset" continuously to move through the last eight split times and laps when you're finished. Hold the "Split/Reset" button to reset the chronograph.
Countdown Timer
10. Push "Mode" repeatedly until the word "Timer" appears on the display. Push "Split/Reset" to choose one of the timer functions (Start Chrono, Countdown, Countdown and Repeat or Countdown and Stop).
11. Push the "Set" button until you see the hours field begin to flash, then push the "Split/Reset" button to move the digits forward. Push the "Mode" button to choose tens of minutes and push "Split/Reset" to move those forward. Push "Set" again to set the minutes, tens of seconds and seconds. Push "Set" to save your settings.
12. Push "Start/Stop" to begin the timer, pause the timer and resume timing. You will hear the watch beep when the timer gets to zero. Push the "Split/Reset" button while the timer is stopped to reset it.
