What Is A Compression Tee

Compression tees are often worn by football players.

Tight-fitting clothing, such as compression shorts and compression tees (T-shirts), have become increasingly popular in the United States. The increased attention can be attributed to the success of sports apparel company Under Armour for introducing its compression products. Does this Spark an idea?

Fabric

Compression tees are made of a blend of mainly polyester with a small amount of spandex. This combination allows the tee to fit tightly against the skin and to wick away moisture from the body.

Varieties

Compression tees can be made in short-sleeve or long-sleeve. They can also be made in varying thickness depending on climate. Thinner tees are intended for use in hot weather to pull sweat away from the body, while thicker tees are intended to retain body heat in colder temperatures.

Usage

Compression tees were originally designed to be used by athletes but are now used by a wider variety of people. In addition to athletes, compression tees are now worn by hunters, fishermen and military personnel. They also are used as under shirts.
