What Is A Jeep Poker Run

A jeep poker run is an organized event where jeep enthusiasts drive to five or seven checkpoints and draw a playing card at each stop. The objective is to have the best poker hand at the end of the run.

Features

The rules and details tend to vary depending on the organizer of the event. The main commonality is usually the chance to bond with other jeep lovers, the enthusiasm to drive to interesting locations, and the chance to randomly win with a lucky poker hand.

Entry Fees

An entry fee is usually required in order to participate in the run. Most of the money raised goes into funding the event and its prizes. The remaining funds usually go towards a specific cause or charity.

Prizes

Prizes, such as cash, trophies, or products donated by sponsors are given to the best poker hand. Depending on the size of the event, prizes and attendance will vary.

Checkpoints

Checkpoints often have some kind of entertainment, food or refreshments covered by the entry fee or at an additional cost. Riders check in and collect a poker card from each destination. Once they have collected the poker cards from each checkpoint destination, they head to the final checkpoint where there is usually a celebration to see who had the best poker hands.

Gathering together

Poker run events are not just limited to Jeeps. Motorcycle, boat and even skateboard enthusiast have gathered together for poker runs.
