Workout wear needs to provide several functions including comfort.
For some women, workout is more about fashion than it is about getting a good workout. It's okay to look great while sweating to the oldies or Zumba-ing your way to a healthier you. When choosing workout clothes to exercise in, it's important to consider such options as style, breathe-ability and one of the more important factors that literally holds it together-support. Does this Spark an idea?
Yoga Wear
Workout clothes should stretch with your body.
Yoga wear has been in existence for years and the great thing about this fashion---and yes, it is fashion---is that it is designed to stretch as you move your body. That makes it great for any workout, not just yoga. Some of the best yoga wear includes the Capri pant. This style comes in various colors, including basic black to make you look slimmer while you work out. The yoga tank comes in the same light weight material and moves as you do. For exercising outside on a cool morning, there is the yoga hoodie and the yoga style pant, each made from a breathable body hugging material to accentuate curves and move with your body. The best thing about yoga wear is that it's so comfortable, it can worn to the supermarket or for any of your errands.
Sports Tops
Sports bras come in several styles and colors.
Years ago while bouncing around to that Jane Fonda workout tape, women had to wear two or three sports bras to achieve support. It's definitely important to have the proper support top when exercising. Gone are the days of the constricting top that felt like an anaconda squeezing your chest. Today's top is more stylish and breathable while still maintaining proper support and are styled as the traditional bra, racerback style or a more modern collared sleeveless shirt. These tops come in various colors and styles and because they are so fashionable, can often be worn as outer wear. Sports tops can either be purchased online or at any sporting goods store.
Bottoms
Exercise bottoms should be breathable and comfortable.
You can't talk about workout wear for women without addressing those bottoms to help hide that cheeseburger you ate last night. Let's face it, women want to get a workout but they also want to look great doing it. One of the most important aspects of a workout bottom is that it does not lose its shape through washing or your gaining (or losing) a few pounds. Today's leggings are more about breath-ability as opposed to unnaturally squeezing it all in. Look for cropped leggings made from a stretch fabric or those bottoms that soak up moisture. Bottoms that don't bunch as you run and jump are a must. Look for leggings that provide a slimming appearance until you actually lose that extra ten pounds you resolved to get rid of back in January.
