The World Series of Poker begins annually in April in Las Vegas.
Las Vegas is filled with things to do 24 hours a day, seven days a week, with monthly special events offered to visitors and residents. In April, Las Vegas celebrates Mardi Gras, jazz, hometown life and winning. There is more to the Sin City throughout the year besides gambling and drinking, including the annual activities in April.
City of Lights Jazz Festival
During the last week of April, jazz musicians gather from all over the county to play at Hills Park in Summerlin. The event is held at the Clark County Government Center Amphitheater, which offers an intimate setting with plenty of shade from the hot Vegas sun. Guests can bring in their own picnic lunches or purchase food from local vendors and sit and relax while listening to the music of mainstream and local jazz musicians.
