Tips For Collecting Charity Pop Tops For Schools

Collect pop tops for a good cause.

Many schools are helping the Ronald McDonald House collect pop top tabs to help raise money for programs that help improve the quality of life for children that really need it. The money comes from the aluminum tabs, which can grow substantially over time to help raise the money. Here are some things that you can do to help collect pop tops for your school.

Get Your School To Participate

Check with your local schools to see if they are participating in the pop top charity program. You can also check with the school's PTA, which is usually involved with most of the charity organizing.

Contact your Local Ronald McDonald House

Chances are your local Ronald McDonald House participates in the pop top program and they have collection containers and brochures that explain the program. They can also tell you if your school is already participating in the pop top program.

Collections

Get the students in your school involved by making posters and having contests on who can collect the most pop tops. Talk to your friends, family, neighbors, and restaurants to see if they would be interested in helping you collect pop tops for your school.

Collect the Pop Tops

Collect pop tops and leave the cans behind. Although pop tops are small they are easy to collect and store. They are also less messy and children can carry them to school without having to lug large plastic bags. Take the tops from pop (soda) cans, soup cans, pet food cans, and any other container with a tab.
